Overview
SCAN Health Plan is a not-for-profit Medicare Advantage organization founded in 1977 by twelve Long Beach seniors who wanted a better way to age in their own homes. Headquartered in Long Beach, California, SCAN serves Medicare beneficiaries across California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and New Mexico, with the bulk of its membership concentrated in Southern California and the Central Valley. SCAN is consistently rated among the highest-performing Medicare Advantage plans in California by CMS Star Ratings and operates dedicated programs for dual-eligible members, homebound seniors, LGBTQ+ older adults, and members experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
